New Artist, New Week

Hey Little Lemon Lovers, thanks for coming back for another Monday feature: New Week, New Artist (or New Artist, New Week - say it however you want to!). If you missed the last New Week, New Artist Feature, you can see it here.

Thanks to all my readers for sticking around to see all the new + fun shops that are featured. And a huge THANK YOU to all of the artists that make these features possible. I love sharing all the talent with my readers!

I am beyond excited to share Simply Squared Designs with you all. Simply Squared Designs simply makes the most wonderful picture frames I have ever, ever come across. Their fun distressed painting, amazing designs and shapes along with each frames' handmade beauty and personality, it's impossible not to fall in love with each and every frame they make.

I 'met' Misty and Donnie of Simply Squared Designs maybe 5 or 6 months ago when they ordered some of my scalloped tags from me to use as price + information tags on their amazing frames, and we've just been friends ever since. I frequently stalk their blog often to see what they've been up to, and yes, I own two of their amazing frames, and I will own more soon!

Once you 'meet' Misty and Donnie, you'll love them, too... Here they are:

We started building picture frames about 6 years ago just for fun and as a "side" job. In January of 2007 we decided to add to our family by an international adoption. We needed lots of funds for the adoption and decided to use our frame business as a "fundraising effort." So, for two years, all of our energy was geared towards the adoption and raising money for the adoption. To our surprise the adoption fell apart at the last minute; however, the business was not slowing down at all.

We had always enjoyed building frames, but a passion really grew over those two years of not just building, but creating unique pieces of art. We have since shifted gears, and that passion has turned into a successful business. Our brains are always functioning in "new idea mode" and we love being able to express ourselves through the frames.

Donnie and Misty stay very busy with their popular frames, and can be found at many art shows in the Mississippi and Alabama area, and they also do home shows. They just HAVE to make it to the west coast! I am dying to visit and see all the frames together in a booth! Beautiful!

Simply Squared Designs does custom orders, too, so if you have something in mind that will complete your home, please let them know, and I just know they'll be able to make some thing amazing for your house that you will treasure forever!!

Donnie and Misty, thank you so much for sharing Simply Squared Designs with me and my blog readers. I can't say enough wonderful things about the beautiful pieces you create. I kind of want to rent an airplane and pull a 'Simply Squared Designs is the BEST' banner behind it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love my frames and you know I'll be back for more! Thank you for being lovely friends! (Really think you should move to Oregon...)

My lovely lemons, thank you so much for coming back again! I hope you guys are enjoying all the wonderful features. They have been so much fun to do, and make Mondays a little more exciting! You know, something to look forward too! I'll see you all again soon! Thanks for reading!
